Masai Fitness Power Elliptical Trainer Overview |
| The Masai Fitness Power Elliptical Trainer brings high-end, health club features to a sturdy, smooth-striding elliptical trainer. An intuitive and easy-to-use on-board exercise computer features 20 programs that automatically control the intensity of the workout using either preset settings, or the built-in heart rate sensors. Users can also use the manual setting in order to adjust resistance at the touch of a button. A 13 lb. flywheel and smooth, nearly silent magnetic power resistance provide a fluid cycling motion, and this bike has been designed with ergonomics in mind. The Power Disc Crank provides a narrow foot position, providing a comfortable stride. Large anti-slip foot pedals give a bidirectional stride length of 15-inches, and central stationary handles feature heart rate sensors and are adjustable to fit different postures. The extra long, curved moving arm handles provide multiple locations to grip depending on your size and desired workout. Constructed of high quality components, the unit is backed by a limited one year warranty. Additional Features: - Built-in wheels allow for easier positioning of the unit
- Ergonomic foot and hand positions
- Programs include preset, user defined, heart rate, watt control, and body fat
- Suitable for users up to 250 lb. in weight
- Adjustable workout level via continuous manual resistance knob
- Includes owner's manual, assembly tool kit, and two AA batteries
- One-year manufacturer's warranty on frame, parts and electronics

| As most buyers have commented, this unit is a bit challenging to assemble. But once assembled, it provides good value for the money, is versatile, and works well. |
Enjoyed it while I had it

For a not mechanically inclined person, putting this elliptical together was a painful and frustrating 4+ hours. I was missing a few random washers, etc. but nothing crucial to putting it together. The assembly video on the Masai website was extremely helpful, but don't let the under 10 minute construction fool you into thinking it's a piece of cake.
The elliptical does provide a great workout and the many different programs allow you to really vary your workouts and levels of resistance. This is an option that is missing in many of the cheaper, lower end ellipticals. Operating the computer is also confusing at first, and the manual that was sent to me was for their bike, which did not help my confusion. I was able to get the correct manual off their website.
I was impressed with the quiet operation. I can workout and watch TV at a normal volume. There are a few creaks here and there, likely caused by a missing washer or two. The stride is smooth. At 5'4, the machine actually fits me better than the ones at the gym.
Unfortunately, after a month the resistance belt on the inside randomly fell off during use. I ripped open the base to try to fix it, but there was no way to get it to go back on with the proper resistance. While I'm sure the warranty would have covered such a problem, I ended up opting to return it.

Waste of money! DO NOT BUY THIS MACHINE!

| I bought this elliptical machine about a month ago. First off, it took my boyfriend and I hours to put together. The instruction manual is a total joke. The illustrations that match the different pieces look nothing alike. There are so many little pieces of different sizes and they are pretty much represented as the same size in the manual. AND, there were not enough washers to even assemble the machine so we had to buy more. So anyways we got the machine together and 2 weeks later, it's broken. If I had known how cheap this thing actually was, I NEVER would have spent the hundreds of dollars on it. I am a single mom and thought this would be a good solution to getting fit and not having to get a costly gym membership. And the worst thing is no one will contact me back from the company. I have been playing tag with them for almost 2 weeks. DO NOT BUY THIS MACHINE! IT'S CRAP! I want my money back. Next time I'll spend the extra money and buy from a company known for quality and customer care. |
Don't waste your money!!!

| This product is a waste of my money. The directions were hard to follow and I could not tell the difference between the sizes of the bolts and washers by the drawings in the directions. It was a guessing game trying to figure out which parts to use. The machine does not feel sturdy at all and the resistance belt slipped off after only the second use. I had to tear half the machine apart to get the belt back on. I fear thatI would not reccomed this product to anyone. |
